Rainbow Honey: The Sweet Talk Collection Review & Swatches

 

Hey everyone! I'm back for a minute and I've got something exciting to show you:

When I received the package in the mail, I was so overtaken by how gorgeous these were! I decided to lower my photographic standards a bit and bring you information about these, even if my photos were taken with my crappy iPhone camera. Hope you don't mind the quality - but I must apologize and say I'm not doing these any justice with poor photos!

I received Be Mine and XOXO for review and I'm buying Sweet Talk ASAP! Here's some (crappy iPhone) swatches!

 

 

First up, we have Be Mine. Rainbow Honey describes it as "a lovely kiss of pink on your nails with a dusting of microshimmer and gold flecks." This is a lovely pink indeed! Of course my camera captured the shade all wrong, it's a gorgeous medium pink with a beeeautiful pink and gold spark. Kind of similar to Orly Preamp, but with more color in it. This is two coats with NO topcoat. The formula was wonderfully self-leveling, non-streaky, and dried really quickly. Wasn't goopy or hard to deal with at all. Flowed wonderfully over the nail. This really impressed me because lighter colors like this tend to look goopy and chalky on me. 

Warmer pinks like this usually look TERRIBLE on me, but this really impressed me and I truly love it. 

Then, Dee developed a lovely glitter topper that really unlocks the potential of Be Mine.

It's called XOXO and baby, I am in LOVE!

 

 

 

XOXO may look like some pink/red glitter in the bottle, but on the nail it's a true stunner. Rainbow Honey describes XOXO as "a ravishing blend of glitters and flakes in a clear base for easy use over any manicure." This is true, and I'm glad they kind of left the description a bit vague because on the nail it's amazing. I have 500 nail polishes, and this one made me actually go, "WOW." This is a mixture of smaller red holographic hexes and round glitters, plus a large dusting of iridescent and holographic flakes to give it this multidimensional shimmer that my sad little iPhone camera will never be able to do justice. So, so so gorgeous. This definitely is my first favorite polish of 2013.

This is one coat. Dried lightning-fast and smooth. No bumps or curls from any of the glitters. And it was glossy smooth with just one coat of my butterLONDON Hardwear quick-dry topcoat.

I just can't get over how gorgeous these are. Dee and Rainbow Honey, you've outdone yourselves and knocked it out of the park...AGAIN.

 

Look at the shimmer!

 

Here's an awkwardly blurred photo of my nail so you can see the shimmer. It's got the holo, it's got the red, it's got the golden spark of Be Mine. So multidimensional and gorgeous, I can barely handle it. 

The third lacquer in the collection, Sweet Talk, is a mixture of pastel glitters (mainly pink/purple) in a white jelly. I'll definitely be picking that one up as soon as it goes on sale!

Also, quick update on my house: It was broken into AGAIN this week! The burglar took everything they didn't get the first time, our TV and etc. There's no way I could have prevented it because the burglar apparently stole a spare key to my home and that's what he used to get in this second time. I didn't even think about changing the locks last time because the burglar had entered my home through a window. The locks have been changed and I am looking for a new place to live! Needless to say, moving should be easy since I really don't have anything left! haha. At this point I just have to laugh and try to keep a positive attitude.
